Print File 1.5 Portfolio Box Binder (Black)

UPC's:
Great product, no service...
The binder is great and perfect for storage of negatives and prints. 5/5. It arrived slightly damaged on the corners due to inadequate packing. Not enough damage to make it unusable at all but its an expensive product and it would be nice for it not to be scratched and dented. B&H did not respond to any of my service requests or emails in the last 2 weeks but sent me a request to review the product.

Sturdy and well made
The box has a nice quality feel to it and appears to be well made. The rings open and close nicely. My only complaint, which is minor, is the semi-gloss finish on the exterior shows any minor blemish. I think a matte finish would be more forgiving.

Poor Riveting
Print file products are generally of a high standard. This box binder is of high quality construction, but with one fatal exception: the D-ring assembly is riveted to the box with only two, shallow rivets. The result is the the D-ring often falls from the high-quality box after only a few pages are loaded. In an order of several boxes, this occurred with every one of them. I would give this product fives stars, but for an archival quality (and cost) product such a basic manufacturing defect is unforgivable.

perfect for your photo storage needs
i use the product to store my 1800 slides. i bought three of these units. i like the sturdy construction and the look. it is perfect for what i was need to use it for. the binders coupled with the printfile preservation pages made my storage nightmare a more pleasent dream. i would have given it 5 star rating but the price is a little seep and i would have liked them to be a bit deeper than 2 inches. other than that ...perfect!

Neat and nicely made
A nice box to store neg sleeves in. Not cheap but it's worth spending a bit to protect your negatives.

Strong and large volume
This folder is perfect for storing film. I use it to store my processed 4x5 film. It is strong and has large enough volume to store a lot of film.

Perfect Binder for Scanning & Storage
In this digital age, binders like this are still important because I scan just about everything I shoot with various camera formats. It holds all of the formats, from 35mm to 8x10 film. I have an oddball sized film too, panoramic wide field negatives and positives. It is built tough for day-to day usage and is archivally durable, it's perfect.

Expensive But Sturdy
I've just started using the product but I'm impressed with the sturdiness and ease of use. I'd buy it again, especially if it were less expensive.

Slide and Negative Archival
I use the Print File portfolio D-ring album for archival of negatives (35mm & 120 & 4x5) and slides (35mm) in Clear File heavyweight sleeves. The Clear File storage albums are no longer available, but the Print File album is big enough to accommodate a variety of different width sleeves. It is an acid free D-ring binder album.
