Using it to write a not so glowing review of it.
Have had the keyboard since I got the iPad Pro when it came out. Needless to say it looks really nice, functional keyboard and neat that it is powered by the iPad itself. Alas, it offers absolutely zero protection. Apple likes to show off its product, which means dont drop it. What is worse, however, is that nothing other than magnetism is holding it in place. Nice update from the 1st version (10.5)
This is my 2nd iPad pro with a smart folio keyboard. I really like that the keyboard is easy to clip on and off and folds back easily if I want to just have my iPad screen available. I also like that it doesnt not require charging. I am glad that this new 11 version goes all the way around the iPad. My old 10.5 version only covered the screen when closed. I think this will protect the iPad a little bit better. I really love the compact design, but I wish it was a little bit more protective.

Inefficient at Best
I was using the ZAGG Rugged Messenger Keyboard with my iPad Pro 10.5 with great success. I just received the Apple Smart Keyboard for my iPad Pro 11, and am totally dissatisfied with this keyboard. The ZAGG had numerous function keys, backlite, larger keyboard, in addition a separate case for the iPad Pro and, not a stick on back with no protection whatsoever. Plus the price of the ZAGG was far less than the $179.00 for the Apple. Bottom line - not recommended!

Must have
Love this keyboard and is a must have for the IPad. Makes the iPad more like a laptop. Easy to use and snap on via magnets. THe only think lacking is it doesnt fold. When on a plane and watching a move, I dont want the keyboard in front of me. There are other ways to do it but it does not fold like a folio. That's one minor complaint and the advantages make this very worth it.

Surprisingly Accurate
When I first looked at this thing and felt how thin and touchy the keys were, I had serious doubts that Id be able to type at any decent speed. Im typing away on it now at practically the same speed and accuracy as I do on a regular keyboard. Its impressive.

Still lacks backlighting
The functionality of this keyboard is so much better than the Logitech slim combo I had for my iPad Pro 10.5, but I wish that Apple would see the value of having backlit keysits the only thing that keeps me from giving it a 5

so far so good
I am new to using this and it attached easily and has made my I pad so much easier to use. It adds a fair amount of weight which I also like but it is something to be aware of if you are trying to stay as light as possible.

Works in thought
Good idea at least. Looks good, connects instantly but way too flimsy and zero drop protection of any kind. Returned for credit and headed to Zagg for an actual tablet/keyboard case

Great keyboard
Just received the new keyboard for the IPad 11. The keyboard is a nice upgrade from the first generation as it seems sturdier. Great service and price from B&H Photo.
