Not a professional, but i feel like one with these babies on. I have an amp between my ipod and the headphones... Makes a HUGE difference for volume control. You can really crank them up with the amp! Great sound, What else would you expect from Sennheiser?

After several hours of break-in, these headphones delivered quality sound with a high degree of fidelity. The open backside prevents one from being out-of-touch from what else might be happening, without decreasing the listening experience. However, and this may be a limitation of the design, there is no soundstage, as I experience with my loudspeakers.

This is not for recording and a great alternative for mixing and mastering monitors. I go back and forth between my monitors and these headphones for mixing and mastering.

Exactly what I was looking for in video editing headphones. The cord is very long and bulky so they do not work well for wearing around the house during activities. Great for studio work.
