Got this as replacement for previous model RH iron I've had for 3 years which was discontinued and this model was its replacement. In my opinion it is not as good. The sole plate is not non-stick and unfortunately when I ironed jeans a deep scratch appeared after going over the zip. The water tank is considerably smaller as well. There is no safety cut out on this model as on previous one which was a really good feature. Overall disappointed but stuck with it now unfortunately

It is easy to use and irons great but I get annoyed as the temperature button is at the top of the handle and it can be easily touched when ironing so keep changing the temperature. So have to keep an eye all the time as my hand has a habit of touching it.

Early days yet, but so far the iron is performing well. It has a reasonably large water tank, so filling is required less frequently. Also, the power cord is 2.5 mts long, which is another plus point. We haven't used the self-clean function yet, but hopefully it'll prove to be a handy feature. If you buy this iron, don't forget to register it online, as you then get an extra year's guarantee, giving you three years cover in total.

Really pleased with this iron, I have arthritis but it is easy to hold, fill and not heavy but great at doing the job. My hand/wrist did not hurt, the cord is quite long, I ironed everything that needed high and then decreased for more delicate items, this reduced temp quite quickly. I also like that it is none stick nor does it ‘spit’ and leave water marks on your clothes. Very happy with purchase, great iron for the price.

Can't believe how good this iron is for the price I paid. My previous steam generator iron broke and couldn't afford another one, bought this and it's just as good and a lot lighter to use. Very impressed.

Great looking iron and very light weight, don't know why some people say it is a little heavy because compared to irons I have had in the past this one is a light weight. Love the new coloured temperature gauge but would have liked to have some inbetween settings. Has a large water tank so you don't have to keep filling up that often as it last a long time which is good. Overall I am pleased with this purchase even though I have only been using foe two's weeks as my other one sadly died.

The iron was bought for my friend who as difficulties with remembering so is perfect for her. Then I brought one for my mum,who has problems with her hands again perfect, and then I brought a third for my self, excellent to use light in weight and a great size and so easy to use the settings for temperature.

I go through about 4 irons a year, god knows why but I am always ironing!! Anyhow my usual irons are higher in price, but a colleague told me about her Russell Hobbs iron & she has had it for about 3 years & she doesn't pay half of what I pay.... so Presto hey...let's give it ago... first impressions - it's lighter & smaller than my usual irons & the cord not as long, but it irons nicely, plenty of steam & heats up quickly. But how long will it last....??

This is the first iron I’ve bought for myself (20 and going into 2nd year of uni) and couldn’t fault it! All my friends use it! The manual guide came with information about ironing I didn’t even know, explained what all the symbols on clothes mean (I’ve been ironing wrong my entire life apparently), it’s a beautiful colour, slightly on the heavy side but it is a large iron and was a bit complicated to use at first due to the instruction guide not being 100% clear but absolutely fantastic!

I am very pleased with my purchase of this iron. Very reasonable price, a lightweight iron with easy to understand temperature controls. I mainly use the green light, it steams well, I now actually enjoy ironing!

There were a few to choose from at this price, so I picked one that looked versatile and had a good steam tank capacity. It is easy to fill, the iron heats quickly and is reassuringly heavy unlike the one it replaces. That said it is well balanced and easy to lift, fill and handle. Ironing could not be easier, a quick press on the steam and a flow of moist heat issues from beneath and can be spread up and down your clothing for quite a while leaving the clothes pressed close to perfection.

I'm walking on air after purchasing the Russell Hobbs 22860 Colour Control Steam Iron because my shirts, trousers, socks, t-shirts and handkerchiefs have NEVER been flatter. Taking a firm hold of the handle and using the Russell Hobbs 22860 Colour Control Steam Iron is a joy, I mean, JOY. I will NEVER use an iron that is NOT the Russell Hobbs 22860 Colour Control Steam Iron EVER again. If it's not a Russell Hobbs 22860 Colour Control Steam Iron, I don't want to know! I'll tell you that!

I like the electronic colour key for the heat settings, the iron is smooth to guide and easy to use. The only criticism is that the steam isn't consistent despite being on a high setting, but you can just use the steam button instead. All in all for the money it's good.

I liked the idea of the colour change to see exactly how hot it was. I would have given this product 5 stars all the way but half hour into my ironing it began to “beep” wildly, closely followed by black smoke billowing out from it (which set my smoke alarm off) and then a loud crackling noise. Argos swapped it for me for a different model - they were very helpful. I expect as this has good reviews it was just an isolated fault.

Really pleased with my iron. Its light and easy to use-like the light system. It seems to go through water quickly -this is more an observation for me than a issue. For the price, highly recommend.

I am really happy with my new iron, it is lightweight, easy to use and a sensible length of flex. The steam works like a dream and makes short work of removing wrinkles and creases. Only one very slight negative, the beaker to fill the water tank is only 100ml and as the iron has quite a large tank it takes four of these to fill it, I shall probably use another jug instead. Otherwise this is a brilliant iron for the price.

Great looking iron (even my husband said so). Easy to use and does a good job. Only downside is that I find that the steam shot not really that effective. Instructions state that you should organise your ironing to use the cooler temperatures first but who has time for that! Find I use it on two top temps most of the time and this seems to be fine for most of my ironing. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

I hate this iron I wish I had done a bit more research before buying but I needed one in a hurry. The iron has preset temperatures which is either not hot enough to iron anything or is too hot that it sticks to the fabric as you are trying to iron it! You can’t get any any steam unless it’s on the second hottest setting and it left marks on my tops and Cable sticks out which rubs on your hand( my old one the cable sat flat so didn’t get in your way). I will be buying a different one - soon! ... More

I love this iron as it’s compact and lightweight but more than that, the controls are in a sensible place. On my previous iron (also a Russell Hobbs), and many other irons I looked at, the controls are under the handle. Even though I have relatively small hands, I used to knock the control with my knuckles when I picked up the iron, unintentionally altering the temperature. The controls on this iron are on the top of the handle and this is the main reason I picked it.

Bought this iron to replace a similar Russell Hobbs iron that had lasted over 10 years. This one looks well made enough to last a similar time. Easy to set heat levels with clear LED colour coding , quick to heat up, powerful steam action and a big bonus was the very long cord, which MG previous iron didn’t have. Would recommend this iron.
