The sound output from this device is very low, no adjustment on device, except to lower the mic by double. Very poor consider the cost.

Used for getting audio on interviews. Great accessory for any video camera or stage use. Easy to hook up and use. Good quality

Not a bargain--by the time I send back the defective products, I will have spent money and gotten nothing or it. Shame on Guitar Center for offering such junk.

The SM58 is a workhorse I've used for years, but these have no on/off switch. This matters a great deal if controlling sound from the stage with backup singers moving on and offstage. A dumb move from Shure to degrade a great product. Now it's a mic that gives good sound quality but we can't use it.

I bought one of these SM 58 microphones even though I donۡt think they sound near as good as an EV N/D767a, Audix OM5 or even a Shure Beta 58a. I bought the SM58 because Iۡm sick and tired of getting flack from sound guys at a gig when I tell them I want to use my own microphone. I donۡt like putting my mouth on a microphone that may have been used by someone that was sick with a cold or something. Anyway, I think all these sound guys are really used to the SM58 and have become too lazy to re-adust the settings on their sound board. It would just be sooooooooo much more work for them if they had tweak a knob. Poor guys. Because they are lazy, I had to buy a SM58. A microphone that sounds like a blanket is over it. The SM58 is way overrated. I donۡt care how legendary it is considered. It does not sound as good as other microphones. Take your best microphone and put a heavy beach towel over it, if you want it to sound like an SM58. ... More
