I'm an early riser and my computer room doesn't have alot of windows. Squinting at my old keyboard every morning was getting to my old eyes and did nothing for my disposition. Since I purchased the illuminated Logitech keyboard I can sit down with my first cup of coffee and a nice glow under every key. Sooooo much easier on the eyes! No more strain, no more squinting, and I wouldn't live without it. My daughter is getting one for Christmas this year and I would recommend this wonderful product to everyone.

This keyboard replaces a flimsy, inexpensive one furnished with a new computer. I am very pleased with it weight (does not slide around), quality, and the feel of the keys. The backlighting of the individual keys is the main reason I purchased it. Though I am a touch typist, in dim light I can now place my hands in the right spot initially and avoid typing a few words of gibberish. It is also a great help when hunting for those odd keys - special characters or function keys - that require a glance down at the keyboard.

I was looking for a sleek, yet simple illuminated keyboard and this is exactly what I got. Other illuminated keyboards tried too hard to look cool and ended up looking like something out of a B sci-fi movie from the 70s. I didn't install the drivers for it as Logitech is notorious for bloated drivers (the drivers were 85 megs). Instead I installed a free program called AutoHotKey and was able to use that to program the media keys. Even without drivers most of the media keys actually work, but you can't reprogram them. I spend hours on the computer every day, but I was using a cheap keyboard that made me feel like I was pounding an anvil. What a difference it is using this Logitech keyboard! My fingers dance over the keys! And the illumination is great when I want to use it in dim light. The non-skid surface and slim profile are bonus features I'm very glad to have. I only wish I'd bought this keyboard years ago! It was also a breeze to install, even with the extra features on the downloaded software. I also love the three-year warranty.

This is an amazing keyboard. Although somewhat pricey, the quality is unparalleled. Has the feel of typing on a laptop keyboard. Illuminated keys is a very cool and useful feature. Ultra thin design and solid. This thing weighs twice as much as a standard keyboard so you know they didn't go cheap on the material.

I'm very happy that I went with the K740. I was looking for a full-sized keyboard to use my ultrabook with a docking station. The ultrabook keyboard is fine when mobile, but it is nice to have a full-sized option when sitting at a desk. There are a lot of $ keyboards out there, but you get what you pay for. I'm glad that I went for something in this price range. The K740 keys have great response, the backlighting is convenient, and the design is super thin. It is also nice to have a dedicated num pad.

I use this keyboard for a number of purposes as a visual media producer and college student.It is exactly how it appears and a comforting purchase. It has a sleek, professional appearance; illuminated keys for when I work in low lighting; and a smooth feel while typing, which is alleviating during extended use.Some concerns? There are times when you like that reassuring, harder keystroke so your fingers more easily find the right key. Also, the package only carries a USB connection. After going through a few expensive Logitech wireless keyboards that require batteries (I'm really hard on them and type like I'm playing Mozart) I decided I still needed the quiet keyboard, which was wired, and the lightedKB was a bonus. It is quiet and I took mine home for midnight e-mails without turning on all the lights. I'm pleased and had work order one for me. Logitech makes the best KBs. The price of B&H was very competitive.

I've owned many keyboards in over 25 years of keyboarding and this is the best yet. I need the extra light and it delivers a beautiful illumination in low or no light settings. Got a parent who computes? You now have the greatest gift of the season at a small price. I even bought a backup so I would never be without my Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. Maybe I'll live long enough to see a wireless keyboard with such great lighting.

I often work in a dimly lit or dark room editing or grading color in DaVinci Resolve. The backlit keys are just perfect for this; easy to see, but not too bright or distracting. The key action is quiet and perfect to the touch. The whole of the keyboard is very thin, but solid, so it stays in place. It's definitely one of the best-looking keyboards that I've owned. The design is simple and every detail is perfect, down to the font used on the keycaps.

Too many keyboards are all show and no go: bright and garish colors glaring off the backboard so that the keys are harder to read. This one just has soft white light illuminating only the letters on the keys, with three levels of brightness, and off. The keys have some tactile feedback, not much, and they are quiet. It requires no software for use. This replaces one of the same model which I used for several years, until I spilled a glass of wine in it.

Sleek and thin. I use it in a dark corner of my family room. I used to have to use a light and the glare/reflection from the keys made it difficult to type because my eyes aren't so good.(I have to look at the keys to type). With the lighted keys I see them better and do not need alight. Also the action of the keys smooth and feels great! I do not use the speciaity hopt keys soI can not comment on them.

I wanted a back lighted keyboard because I like to work in a low lighted room at home. I also wanted a keyboard that had programmable buttons, and the usual other hot keys. Not only does this keyboard have all that, it has a great feel and look. It is made of stronger plastic than usual, has a very sleek design and the keys have a solid feel. I would prefer some programmable keys that do not replace a pre-programmed key, to increase the number of hot keys, but it works.

I love this keyboard. When using my computer late at night I no longer have to turn on my desk lamp to see the keys on the keyboard, which I find a really big plus. The keys themselves feel nice to the touch, which makes typing all that more enjoyable, and setup was fairly easy. I use the term fairly because I had to go to the Logitech website to download the Windows 7 64bit driver which were surprisingly easy to find and install, and the programming of the keys was very easy, but not necessary.

I came across this Keyboard in a store, and loved the way it felt and how quiet the keys are. I shopped around for the best price, and purchased the keyboard from B&H. The Keyboard is perfect IMO. Keys are quiet and soft and fits me perfectly. The Illuminated keys are awesome, and great feature. So far i have had the keyboard for a month and not one issue. I always buy logitech products, and every time i am satisfied.

This keyboard replaced an old Dell wireless that required finger pouncing to register a letter/number. Logitech has another great product here. I have to learn again that keys can be pressed gently and still register but the low profile is great for increasing my typing speeds. I would definitely recommend this product, just might take an adjustment period if you coming from an old school keyboard. ALLPROz

Very nice product. I am not into all wireless products, so this keyboard is fine. Being that it has Illumination and the extra power required for this feature probably makes it not feasible in a wireless version. The keys are closer together then some boards, they have a nice feel to them. The layout works just fine and the illumination of the keys work fine, but I don't really work in the dark. All in all, just what I expected.

Elegant Design, Lower Profile Makes It Easier To Use, Light Intensity Is Perfect For My Needs, Light Touch Keys Are Easier To Push/Shorter Stroke, VERY Quiet/Nearly Silent Typing. This is the highest quality keyboard I've ever bought (been buying computer peripherals since 1998). It's as nice as nearly any other on the market. If you're use to a laptop keyboard, you'll be right at home. I'm amazed that some think it's overpriced (there's just no pleasing some people)

This is everything I expected and more. The lighting is not just a gimmick but very useful when you are working at night. The keys feel great and are very quiet. This is a good quality piece of hardware and will spoil you quickly. I'm not using the Logitech drivers which only leaves a few specialty keys not working.

I love this keyboard! Not only can I now see the keys in my dimly-lit office, I also like the play on the keys. They have a little bounce to them which makes typing more pleasant & gives the typist the 'feel' of his/her accuracy. The lighted keys show up just enough without being distracting or being too faint. If I like it, it's got to be good because I look for flaws & am very picky.
