I got this to replace the Azden mics I have. The Azden ones require battery power and have a cord a mile long. When I'm working weddings, I need it to work every time and I hate to stock those stupid watch batteries. Plus, the cord was always so long and I felt bad asking grooms and officiants to stash it in their pocket. This mic solved all that. The cord is the perfect length to go from the lapel to the recorder in their pocket and it doesn't require additional power. Audio quality more than acceptable for speaking. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is only mono and not stereo. It's a minor thing for me but stereo would be nice. ... More

I needed a mini plug lavs for a shoot but didn't want to pay a lot. Found this Azden mic and have been very pleased with the performance. I use them for my Edirol R-09s. I bought a couple more R-09s and needed more lavs so I ordered three more of these. I shoot weddings and the pickup ability is great for my purposes.

It's an in-expensive solution to capturing spoken audio. Best use for this unit is spoken work capture for example a groom lavaliere at a wedding. I wouldn't use this for high fidelity capture but, that is not what it's intended for. Actually, I would't use a lavaliere mic for high fidelity audio any way.

Its good enough for most of my pro work but not the best sound compared to more expensive mics but I use it all the time. Clients dont know the difference.

I think this microphone is pretty good but I am not in love with it. I use it attached to a sony ICD recorder which is pretty sensitive. The mic picks up the closest person pretty well and doesn't produce too much noise if I have the settings right. The biggest problem I have with it is that it is not stereo, it records in mono. This is just a little frustrating on play back but I can change it in post. I just prefer to start in stereo in the first place. Overall, not bad for the price.

I'm using this with a sony bluetooth based wireless system and it works well. It doesn't have as high a sensitivity as I would like and isn't super compact either but great for the price. Better for voice than full fidelity music.

I agree that the mic cord could be longer. But the price is too good to pass up. I solved the cord problem by going to Radio Shack, buying a 4 foot cord extension for 4 dollars. Mic works pretty good as long as you listen for levels as you are recording.

- Pros: It has a good noise rejection, great & warm sound and it's very easy to clip on clothes. I've used it plugged directly into my Canon T2i and it gave great results for speech while recording. The clip is sturdy and it holds well on clothes. It also has a good cable lenght. - Cons: So far, I haven't experienced anything bad about that mic.

Have been having problems with our Azden wireless microphone system with the audio coming thru like there was a loose connection someplace. Wigling the wire on the lavalier mic seemed to help so bought this to replace the one we had, but the same problem still exists.

The sound quality is great for the money. However, i was surprised to see the length of the cord from the connector to the mic. Not long at all. If you do not have an inside coat to put the transmitter in i don't know where you would put it. It is not long enough to clip around back on a belt or something.

Better than using the microphone on my phone for voice recording. It helps to record sound much clearer with less wind noise and is small enough to stick in your pocket. I have gotten a little crackling if I bump the jack when recording though. Just something I need to be aware of and avoid if possible.

I use it together with a zoom h2n recorder that goes into the pocket of the talent and the length of the cable is perfect for that purpose. Sound js clean and clear and it is easy to attach to clothes. It handles wind noise OK. The size is a little bit bigger than other labs, but hey, it's very cheap. It does the job.

Fits my budget. It works great as advertised. Screw down is plastic so will not last compare to other brand/model but does the job. Wire is thick so will outlast other brand. Wire length is short but will definitely accommodate a 6'4 individual from waste to chest mounting position.

Bought this to pair with a wireless transmitter/receiver that I already have and it works perfect. Hard to beat for the price, you'd have to spent over $100 to get this quality. If you can live with the features (short cord, big head, etc.) that you won't regret this mic.

Heads up - if you're planning to use this with certain Audio-Technica beltpacks, this is a *male* connector. Instead of holes, it has pins. Rookie mistake, but there you have it. Haven't been able to review the product on its other attributes, since it isn't compatible with my gear. :)

was warned that this might not work with the audio-technica pro88 system, but works just fine. perhaps better sound than the mic included in that set.

I purchased this mic to make voice recordings to dub in videos where wind noise or distance from the camera would make it impossible to get clear audio. It works well and for the money it is a real good solution. I would purchase one again if I needed another lavalier.

I used this mic for 4 years before I had to replace it. I have the Azden 320UPR system and this lav mic is great for interviews for the web videos I produce. Highly recommended!

It's great for interviews. I just bought something to extend the cord, but for the price you can't beat it.
