well.. it fits.
the one I got with the tripod installed on my D40 but when I use my bigma I have to take it off and install it on the bigma's collar. to avoid the hassle I purchased another release plate.

good, at least for the price
Is good, whit the tripod, but the desing is poor and the quality of the materialss is not the best, but for the price you should not expect more, i recoment this for small cameras,

Just as I expected
I lost this piece some months ago, it makes part of a good tripod, good price and it works fine, I would recomend it if you want to save some money and still get a quality product.

Multi Use
Have a couple of these I use for a small projector and a DSLR. Convienient for using my backpack tripod for multiple uses without worrying about changing over.

useful as a second plate
Good to have in a second camera as a permanent attachment to avoid having to change plates when placing a second camera in the tripod. inexpensive enough.

A needed item.
This is a replacement for the release plate for Manfrotto Tripod since I have misplaced the original. Doesn't hurt to have a back-up either.
