I used this Mic on a Sony HVR-Z5 video camera approximately 25 feet from the source. I recorded a piano, male and female voices and a flute. The clarity of the sound is unparalleled. If you do not believe me go to FB page for Pierce Opera House and listen to some of the songs. I fully recommend this Mic. It is not cheap but it does the job.

This is one of the best mics that I have ever used. Its noise reduction filter is also priceless. It is worth every penny.
