These are great earbuds if you are looking for unsealed in-ear earbuds. If you want to use it for exercise, it cannot be used if you plan getting your sweat on. Despite how great they sound and how well they fit and feel in your ears, the tiniest contact with sweat (I suspect it has to do with the inline Mic and Remote) will ruin it. I have gone through 2 pairs and it is painfully obvious that it simply cannot live up to it's marketing materials claiming its sweat and weather resistance.

Skeptical is where one starts when looking at headphones in the over $100 range. What will it sound like? How will it handle when you go for a run? How about after miles of sweating? But on-line you can only see it and image from the descriptions of others. Let me help you imagine the Bose quality. Yes, the sound quality is very high. I noticed that it is good enough that I have to make sure the source is high quality. I can hear compression and low bit rates. Many head sets aren't high enough quality to make it so obvious. I love the spaciousness in the sound at low volumes with crisp resolution of each instrument and a warm bass. I find the top end of the volume remains clear also with a rich bass and tops out just above my level of comfort. However, when doing my chores on a loud ride-on mower you need that volume and Bose delivers. My main goal was to get quality Bluetooth earbuds for my runs and get rid of the wire strung down my back to my iPhone. With controls on my iWatch, it is easy to track my run and tunes and keep my phone tucked away in my belt pack the entire time. Once in a while, I will have to make a minor lock twist of the ear pieces, however my wired earbuds always required fiddling and often fell out - not my Bose SoundSport headphones. I run with the wire behind my neck and when interrupted by a phone call easily stop my running, take the call (the other end tells me I am very clear) and resume running. I have read issues with sweat and failure, but have zero evidence that problem persists. It appears that the design corrections by Bose have succeeded at least for my usage pattern. These headphones are easy to pair and cooperate with numerous devices. Mine are paired with my iPhone, iPad, both Tablet PCs showing no confusion. The iPhone app makes sure they have the latest firmware installed - there was an update performed shortly after I set them up - rather easy. I say, Let's Go Running Bose. ... More

I purchased the Bose SoundSport Wireless In-Ear Headphones after the second cord malfunction on a second set of Bose SoundSport (wired) headphones in hopes of eliminating the problem of a cord or jack breaking down over time; the lifespan of each set of wired headphones was 1-2 years. The wireless headphones do two things very well: They stay in my ears, and my cord woes are gone. However, for the price ($150) I hoped for more. I like Bose products in general. I've owned three generations of Bose noise canceling headphones and I love them; I love my Bose Soundsport _wired_ headphones too despite their short lifespan. The first thing I noticed when I wore the SoundSport Wireless headphones was how tinny the high end of the sound felt. Especially cymbals and percussion. It sounds weird, compressed, and takes getting used to. The headphones certainly don't produce anywhere near the quality of sound I'm used to from Bose products... but from reading reviews I understand that in terms of wireless headphones these are some of the best in regard to sound quality. While the headphones do fit snugly in the ears, the earphone completely blocks the ear in a way that the wired headphones don't. This makes talking on the phone somewhat strange because it's like plugging your ears with your fingers and trying to listen to the sound of your own voice. The microphone picks up ALL the environmental noise in the room in a way that, again, the wired headphones do not. So it's not good for having conversations in environments where there is background noise--whereas Bose's other (wired) products have done a great job shielding the mike from noise. The battery life is about 6 hours--good for wireless headphones, but still feels limiting, so I bought the charger case for an extra $50. In conclusion, they are good for running and working out, but I would _not_ use them to enjoy music or talk on the phone. Overall I feel they weren't worth the $200 and I regret my purchase. ... The Bose SoundSport Wireless is a great option both for people who want a pair high-quality wireless headphones for general listening, and also for those who want to use them to workout. Sound: Pretty nice. Naturally, as it is an exercise-oriented headphone, it has a slight boost in the low end. However, this does not interfere with the sound for general quality; surprisingly, it plays even classical music without mucking up the sound too much. Design: For working out, this design is fantastic. Even though the headphones are kinda bulky, they stay in your ears without problem. Even when moving around, running, etc, the SoundSports stay securely in your ear. This is mostly due to the fantastic StayHear tips. Getting them to fit is a bit difficult at first, but you get used to it quickly. Remember how I said they were bulky? Yeah, this is where one star gets deducted. They stick out of your ears so much that you end up looking like an alien with antennas or something. Not too big of an issue, but if you care about how your headphones look, you might want to keep this in mind. Accessories: The SoundSport wireless is rather sparse with the accessories, but it has enough. It comes with a pretty decent carrying case, StayHear tips in different sizes, and a Micro USB cable for charging. The cable is infuriatingly short, but Micro USB cables are a dime a dozen, so it shouldn't be a problem. If you're looking for a set of workout headphones, or just a nice pair of wireless headphones, the Bose SoundSports might be for you. ... More

These headphones are reasonably comfortable, and the sound quality is good for both speech and music. I was looking for a replacement for my UrbanEars Medis earbuds (which have been discontinued). These are one of the few other options that don't stick into your ear (much). I wanted something lightweight (not large over-ear headphones) that doesn't aggravate my ear canal. I find that these aren't quite as comfortable as the Medis, but the sounds quality is maybe slightly better. The floppiness of the StayHear tips is a little annoying. I guess they are soft to make it more comfortable, but it makes it harder to get them into place quickly. And it means they don't stay in place quite as firmly as the Medis buds did. The other problem is that these earbuds don't include a microphone. I should have realized it from the description, so my fault for not noticing, but I was surprised to find that there was no mic. Since I often use these for listening to telecons on my phone, I have to hold the phone up to my face to talk. Not terrible, but I miss having a mic integrated into the earbuds (as the Medis did). All in all, I think they are pretty good. I'd probably buy them again, but only because I can't get the Medis earbuds anymore. ... More

Bought this looking for quality sound but ability to stand up to sweat and rain encountered during workouts and runs, as I've had cheaper headphones breakdown or even rust after awhile. The sound quality is great and right on par with every other Bose product I've owned. Pretty impressed given that they are waterproof/sweatproof. Most products once they gain water resistance lose sound quality. My only issue is that each bud is large enough that they are not as secure in my ears as I'd like. Some people complain about how big they look but that doesn't bug me, they just weigh enough that they aren't great at staying put. I've tried switching out the earbuds (3 sizes included) and that helped but still not quite stable. Seems fine for workouts but running I find myself having to jostle with them every once in awhile or they will slowly fall out. Overall I probably only have to fidget with them as much as any other headphone I've worn with running. Overall great product. Hoping it continues to hold up to the pricet ag which isn't outrageous but should deem quality. ... More

I sweat more than I'm even admitting here and these aren't affected by that. Whoever is claiming these break because of perspiration has a special use case. This is a great bluetooth headset. I has good sound quality and is very portable. For $149, I feel like it's hard to imagine them not giving you $149-worth of sound. The negatives are this: - 6 hour battery life (this is the ultimate consideration if you're looking at these). - People with large neck circumference may find these tight, but you'll survive hah. Nitpicking here. - Comes with a micro-sized micro usb cable The Pros: - Sound quality on par with wired $150 cans (EQ'd to Bose's usual standard of mid-range emphasis with high base) - Extremely portable - No bluetooth pairing issues with anything and if you have 3 devices in the room tho output from, selection is the best I've seen. Only device with zero bluetooth complains from me and I've tried $300 Sony's. Ultimately for me I use these as a daily driver but trips demand something with a longer battery (or a micro usb cable and a battery charger). Do not be dissuaded beyond what I've mentioned - it's great (or at least not observably bad) at everything else. ... More

Pros: Design-the connecting wire allows you to remove one or both earbuds without having to hold onto or find a place for them. Protects against dropping/losing. Useful while active, or confined to the airplane seat. Sound quality-very good frequency range and reproduction, no noticeable "hype-ing" of bass frequencies. Detailed mids and "silky" highs. Not harsh in the slightest. Hi-fi quality listening experience. Cons: Although they come with different size flanges, a perfect fit is still a little elusive, leading to reduced effectiveness at sound isolation. Combined with a somewhat (disappointingly) low maximum volume, this makes them not optimal for use in flight, where cabin noise is formidable. They are comfortable, however. I also found that with more vigorous exercise (trail running) the fit can become loose and I often have to push one or both back in to re-seat them properly. Despite the cons, I will probably keep them. The low(-ish) max volume is probably better for the health of my hearing anyway, and they are plenty loud for non-loud environments. But if you're trying to shut out your gym's "unh-tss-unh-tss" soundtrack, maybe look elsewhere. ... More

I've own two other brands in as many years; Klipsch and Sennheiser, both of which needed to be replaced after about a year due to malfunction or wire damage after normal use. I purchased this set of Bose mainly due to the name, but was immediately disappointed by the sound the moment I plugged them in. After adjusting the EQ for best response, the bass was still only hinted at without delivering its full rich richness, and the highs & midrange were a bit harsh, unable to be tamed by the EQ without muffling the highs altogether. Could this be why they don't reveal the frequency response in their specs? Then, because these earphones don't actually enter the ear canal, they only aim at it, much of the sound they do produce seems to get lost, nor are they loud enough. Also, I have no confidence by the construction of these earphones that they'll last any longer than the other brands I've tried, so I am returning these after only 24 hours. At least I know of two other brands that will provide better sound. I know that Bose is a trusted and revered brand, this was only my experience with this particular set of earphones, and I am no sound professional. ... More

I like everything about these headphones and the charging case I bought to go with them... but the biggest problem with them is the volume output is way too low. I'm not happy about it. I use them for exercising on my daily walks for music and although I understand that they do pick up some ambient noise from my surroundings, that isn't the issue. The issue is they simply do not push the volume of the music up enough. I use them with my iPhone 6S and have tried checking the settings on my iPhone to no avail. I've got the volume on my phone as high as it will go, and the volume on the headphones as high as they will go, and it simply isn't loud enough... and I don't have any hearing issues either. The inexpensive wired $40 Sony earbuds I use to use were plenty loud enough , in fact I had to turn the volume down a notch while in use. Am seriously considering returning these to B&H for a refund. Normally love BOSE products but they missed the mark on these. I care about two things for wireless buds; sound quality and comfort. Right now, these are the best buds available. There might be better for a zillion bucks but in this price range, these are magnificent. To be honest, I did not expect the sound to be as good as it is. From the moment I first tried them on I have been enjoying immensely. The comfort is also great. I have odd ear canals and buds that go deep into the canal are unpleasant for me. Since the Bose rest on the canal opening they are totally comfortable. A third great feature is that they are easy to use, easy to put on, and easy to pair with my Pixel phone. The ONLY REAL NEGATIVE about these earbuds is their size. I don't mind the size when they are on--and I use them for both exercise and general about town listening--but they don't easily fit in my pocket. in the case, they are even bigger so i port them about without the case. I tried all three sizes that came in the box and after 20 minutes, the medium and large (small was just too small) were very uncomfortable to keep in my ears.
