We got these headsets for office use as a splurge and are happy with their performance. Having the ability to dim background noise is helpful when you're trying to focus (it's not a 100% noise-cancellation, but takes a good dent out enough to make a difference), tho it was also interesting to learn we find having noise-cancellation on all-day all little to un-nerving (the 'deadzone' sound). No wires makes using them less cumbersome than getting snagged or rolling over other headsets' wires. The mic pickup doesn't seem to be as strong as a standard boom mic (we previously used standard $65 Microsoft headsets) and we've noticed some customers have to turn up their volume a little but it works fine. The USB plug-in that comes with the UC model does make it easier to setup with our Windows-based computers, though I had difficulty pairing with the computer after I downloaded the iOS app to manage the headset and had to uninstall everything and avoid the iOS app (using just normal Bluetooth for pairing with my iPhone and/or iPad). Was it worth the pretty high price tag? - It served our purpose of a splurge and I appreciate now having something to use in coffee shops when I'm working from my iPad (the zipped case is nice for travel), but for a basic ROI purchase I think the price is probably a little much, and if you want high-end mic pickup you may want to consider a headset with a boom or go with a full-on condenser mic. ... But if you are looking for a new pair of NC headphones, and you can afford them, go for it, you wont regret, these are definitely the ones. Best noice cancelling headphones now, no doubt. I have been on a couple airplanes since i got them, and its amazing how well they perform, you can barely hear the engines of the plane. And while doing some work office, they perform very good as well, you wont have any bad critics about it. Great bose sound, not a lot of base, but thats ok, at least for me, you can gear a lot of clearness in the music and with the noice cancelling feature, it sounds great. In the beginning of july/19 the bose app sucked, and that was a good reason to not buy them, but by now, the app does its job well with the new updates, so you wont have any trouble with that. You still need the app to setup the headphones at the beginning but meh, everybody have a smartphone with internet connection nowadays. In conclusion, if you can afford them, go for it. I have been using this product for two weeks now and compared it with Sony WH-1000 XM3. Comfort is on par if not better than with the Sony. Active noise cancellation is good but not as impressive as with the Sony in noisy workplaces or subway. The sound rendition is more neutral than with the Sony, not much emotions but good. The buttons on both sides are very badly designed, they are just about above flush which makes them hard to find with even the thinner gloves. On the other hand I very often touch one by mistake when readjusting the headphones on my head. It is very frustrating and you will need a bit of muscle memory to remember how to place your hands on them. The touch pad on the right side is more responsive and not acting erratically so far in my experience. A better design than on the sony. The best part is definitely the phone call quality. It is a million times better than on the sony. With the sony WH-1000 XM3 nobody would hear me on the phone even in quiet environment. This one is a killer and suppresses all surrounding noise very efficiently. Despite the slightly underperforming noise cancellation it remains a better product in my opinion and I am selling my sony to keep the Bose ... More

Truly incredible headphones. Having owned their QC35’s, I was looking to replace them as they were getting on a bit. Now the sound quality on the NC700’s is far superior and for that, thank god! My only slightly negative piece of feedback was that comparing these headphones to some others, the design does not fold down, not even like it’s predecessors but for that it’s a small price to pay for the sound quality! Bose are back on top!

Lost my Bose QuietComfort on a bus and decided to replace it with the 700. The touch panel on the right ear is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I prefer the button for answering and hanging up on a call. Sound quality is roughly same. Biggest upside is people I speak with tell me I am more clear, so the microphones are better on this one. Sound cancelation is excellent on this one, same as the QC.

To my ears, the original Bose QC35 has notably better noise attenuation than either the QC35 II or Headphones 700. When I wear the original 35, I hear almost nothing; when I wear these or the 35 II, I hear subtle aspects of almost everything. The overall sound quality is a bit behind both the 35 and 35 II; and, as many others have pointed out, sound quality decreases somewhat with increasing volume. The modern layout, touch controls, and USB-C connectivity are great; however, the headband is not as comfortable as that of the 35 (I and II) and seems more cheaply built. The frame is solid, but the attached rubber cushion does not feel like something that will last. The only feature that really sets these apart from the other headphones I have used is the outstanding clarity of calls--the best that I have experienced so far. It is literally as though the other person and I are sitting together in a quiet room. If I decide to keep these, this will be the only reason. ... More

I owned bose for years. This is my upgrade option, and seeing the fantastic color makes me happy. I ordered it and tried it on. I do not feel any tightness/clumpy as many others do, and I feel extremely comfortable. Sound quality is great as well. The down side is 1) Noise canceling isn't as good as QC series. 2) Switching among multiple devices drives me nuts, as it cannot find the right device to switch to play sound despite they are all connected - like always. 3) Bluetooth frequently drops connection. 3) is the most annoy part. I feel I got a defective version so I asked for return already. But 2) was the worst and I thought it'd be fixed already (I imagine it's software issue) as bose nc 700 has released for a long time. I really tried to give it love, man. I tried. Two weeks and sorry. ... More

Overall sound is good (I would say same level as previous models). Noise reduction really good, especially for making calls and getting rid of surrounding noises. Now the problem is... the headphones are not ready to be launched. They are still with many problems. The phones disconnect randomly, the app where you choose the settings constantly disconnect and then you have to re-paid the headphones, difficulties in pairing the headphones, among other problems. For more details search on the Bose Community Forums and you'll get an idea of what's happening. I really wanted to like this. In general they are very confortable to wear and have great noise cancelling (used during flight and it was great). It also has decent battery life. The problem is really connectivity. Invariably, turning these on and connecting them to a device is a troublesome and frustrating experience. Sometimes it connects immediately, sometimes you have to reset everything countless times until it inexplicably connects. Then there's the app (I use the android version) that you need to change a number of settings and add new devices. Fab headphones. The quality of the sound is absolutely great. I am comparing them to the Marshall III and while the sound in both is great, the Bose are excelling with deeper bass. The noise cancelling is supreme - with blasted sound when someone talks to me it's like in silent movie, I can see them, but not hear them. The Alexa is fantastic addition too. The only downside is the volume is somewhat limited, but apparently this can be overridden in the settings and full battery charge.
